Answer:
After an application is filed, the assigned examining attorney will search the USPTO records to determine if a conflict exists between the mark in the application and another mark that is registered or pending in the USPTO.

Yes. You can fill out an application online, check it for completeness, and file it over the Internet using the Trademark Electronic Application System (TEAS).

Answer:
Adopted on October 27, 1994, entered into force on August 1, 1996. Thirty-three states, including the United States, are party to the TLT as of July 1, 2005.
